Initial Behavior Consultation
All new behavior cases begin here. This consultation helps us understand what is going on with your dog, identify the most important concerns, and determine the most appropriate next steps for your household.
If your dog’s behavior feels stressful, serious, confusing, or hard to live with, this is the place to start.
Who this is for
This consultation is for guardians and families who need thoughtful help with behavior concerns such as:
Aggression toward people or other dogs.
Reactivity or explosive behavior on walks.
Fear, anxiety, or shutdown behavior.
Separation-related distress.
Resource guarding.
Conflict between dogs in the same home.
Situations where safety, stress, or quality of life have become serious concerns.
You do not need to know exactly how to label the problem before you reach out. If things feel hard, heavy, or unsafe, we can start there.
What’s included
Your Initial Behavior Consultation is designed to help us get a clear picture of what is happening and begin building a practical plan. Service pages convert better when they explain outcomes and benefits, not just list features.
This consultation includes:
Review of your dog’s history and current concerns.
Observation when appropriate.
Practical coaching during the session.
A written behavior plan with clear next steps.
Guidance on safety, management, and immediate priorities.
What to expect
The goal of this appointment is not to rush to a label or promise a quick fix. The goal is to understand the behavior clearly enough to make grounded decisions about what will actually help.
During the consultation, we will look at the behavior itself, the situations around it, the level of risk involved, and the realities of your daily life. From there, I will help you identify the most important next steps and whether your case is best served by management, follow-up support, a more structured behavior modification plan, or a combination of those things.
